Use Settings Service to conditionally format report

I would like to have a global filter with “millions” and “whole” as options and then use whichever one is selected to drive the number format in my report. However, the numberFormat field doesn’t seem to be respecting the value that I pass it when passing a value with Settings Service. I am able to utilize Settings Service without issue for MDX queries and dynamic report column headers.

Yes. The number format field only takes a literal string. But it’s a really good feature idea to also accept variables.

I guess you want to set a value like $<<instance.dim.dim::format >> ?

Yes that is exactly what I would want to do!
