Custom Documentation Links - User Profile

Issue #787 on hold
Wei Wang created an issue

We noticed the nice new feature in v2023.10 to add custom documentation links under the user profile dropdown. Thank you for adding this and it allows Apliqo to be even more of a “hub”! Wanted to provide some thoughts for future enhancements:

  • Ability to override the default “Apliqo UX Documentation” navbar item name to something else. For example, if we have internal wiki links/etc, we might want to add those as items but it could be confusing for the user to find those in the “Apliqo” documentation folder
  • Ability to specify whether the navbar item is launched in a modal window or as an link in a new tab. Currently, it always launches in the modal window (even though there is a button on the modal toolbar that opens it in a new tab). Not all links are iframe friendly so those that are not end up with a blank modal window.
  • Ability to add another folder (i.e., sibling to the current “Apliqo UX Documentation” folder)
  • Ability to specify “security” on these folders. Even if its just based on simple UX user/poweruser/admin, that would be super helpful since normal users don’t need to see certain technical documentation.
