Request to add spacer column between subviews

We currently use subviews to differentiate column blocks in our reports (see attached screenshot where Nominal and Variance $ are two different subviews). We currently separate these subviews with an inserted column, but this only works when the number of columns in each subview is static. This is a request to allow a spacer column to be inserted between subviews (like inserting a blank subview between subviews) so that this layout can be supported even with a dynamic number of columns in each subview.
