Add ability to list all references in a bibtex file even if not cited.

I think it would be useful to be able to list all the references in an attached bibtex file. This could make it easier to add citations to it inline.

    Dear Mark,

thank you for your request. Would you like to see all cite IDs of the BibTeX file in a dropdown list when inserting a BibTeX cite? In case you something else in mind could you please specify it.

    Kind regards,

    Andreas

Hello Andreas, a dropdown would be nice too. But my use case is a confluence page that is a working draft space for a paper or project. So my idea was if I attach a bibtex file of related papers I'd like to be able to see it formatted on the page, with the citation keys so people could refer to them easily. The current approach requires the user to know the key for each reference in the bibtex file through some other program and know that the bibtex file attached to the page is up to date with that external program. So it's hard for me to see the usage of the current system when you have an existing database of references and just want to be able to universally refer to them in confluence pages. I suppose a dropdown could solve that problem if it surfaces enough information about the reference.

    Thanks, Mark

    Dear Mark,

thank you for your the explanation.

I think I'll currently not move forward with the dropdown-solution. It would require a lot of work as this solution is leaving standard macro dialog principles. However I will consider an additional macro which will show all cites in the BibTeX file as well as the corresponding citeID. I hope that this would fulfill your request.

    Kind regards, Andreas

Thank you, yes the additional macro you suggest would be my first choice anyways. Thanks for your quick response and openness to suggestions.

    Dear Mark,

sorry for the delay but as there were no additional votes it took a while. The version 1.4.0 contains an additional macro called BibTeX listing. Could you please verify whether this fulfills your request. Remark: the version is only available here under downloads not on the marketplace yet.

    Regards Andreas
