Versions of windows supported?

What versions of windows are currently supported? I was trying to install it on windows 10 and it gets stuck on the last bit of the installation (tried it on two different computers running windows 10).

it gets farther now but i get the following error stating that "Application cannot be started. Contact application vendor.

hey @jluebker it looks like you are getting something called a "Lock Timeout Exception". I haven't encountered that one before (we do a lot of Click Once deployments.)
Does your Windows 10 installation have the latest .NET frameworks, etc? If you are trying the link through Chrome, have you tried through Internet Explorer?
We are developing on Windows 10 and successfully ran the new installer build on several clean machines today without issue.

Hi @nathanmiller, Thanks for the quick response. I'm currently running .NET Framework 4.6.1. I'm not entirely sure how to link a Click Once deployment through IE, but i tried changing my default browser to IE before rerunning and did not get any further. It is taking a while before throwing the error, so it make sense that it is timing out.... is there a different way I should be running the Click Once deployment and how would i do so?

@nathanmiller I tried copying the link to both my machines with Windows 10, but it would just stall. I also tried launching the ClickOnce latest downloads with IE using "open with..." it got further without the error but then it would just sit there when it got to the end of the installation and say "preparing applications" and would not finish.

It should be supported in Windows 10. We haven't tested it here in Windows 7. Do you think you could try again with the new build?
