Separator in icon list

Issue #83 closed

As already said in [#82](https://bitbucket.org/ashemetov / SelectionSK / issues / #82 - Tab position — Bitbucket) I like this very much.

One difference I miss compared to Swift Selection Search is the possibility to add a separator and thus to group search engines. I was hoping, that the separators from the bookmark menu would find their way into the icon list …

Would it be able to add a feature / configuration option to show these separators in the icon list?

This brings me to the topic of submenues: IMHO they should be somehow optically separated: Maybe by putting separators each side? Or draw a border around them? Or even better: Make a new row for each submenu? (All of these could be configurable.)

What do you think?

As of now separators are supported for ‘menu’ mode (my favorite) but not for 'pane' mode.

Technically I can add separators for folders and explicit separators, however they will look ok only if there is 1 row, in case of multiple rows icons will be not aligned (or extra space will be used).

Row per folder doesn’t look attractive to me - no guarantee that there will be more or less equal number of items in the folder, plus there are sub-folders.

I would love to have a way to add a way of grouping icons in the pane mode. One of those ideas was the separator. IMHO if the user decide to use two rows, it is his/her responsibility to distribute the separators in a way, that it looks nice. Maybe a special bookmark could help to add an empty space the size of an icon?

Regarding the row per folder: There are two options. Firstly the rows are all in a box the width of the longest row. Secondly to have a ragged right side, like this:

In my opinion this is the better way.

While it is interesting, I don’t really like neither ‘comb’ style (looks strange) nor a box with empty spaces (because of empty space). In any case there is no good solution for sub-folders. Maybe keep folder as 1 icon and open new row once user move a mouse over icon is better idea.

Anyway, for now I’ve implemented a small non-intrusive separators for folders and bookmark-separators. Multiple rows will be adjusted automatically. Looks good enough for me, change will be released over weekend.
