Add information to generate a new ISO

Issue #10 closed
Rebek Kahn created an issue

Hi,

This project seems to be very interesting. Now I’m testing it inside a VM. However, I want to understand more about how it’s created because I want to provide some ideas. Therefore, I want to generate my custom ISO versions. So, can you add some documentation about how to compile/generate the ISO, please?

Thank you.

    Hi Stephan,

I feel you’re using one SDK container to create the lightwhale ISO. The question is then: you want to share it?

I hope you want to do it.
    Thank you.

    Hi Rebek,

I am using my own collection of scripts and containers to build Lightwhale. I call it the Lightwhale SDK. And it is very much in flux and in a “works on my machine” state. Therefore I’m not willing to share it, at least not at the moment. Also, I don’t want to receive any feature requests on it, since it’s … well, mine.

However, Lightwhale is essentially just an external “plugin” to Buildroot, so if you really want to pursue this, the Buildroot manual has all the information you need to build it.
