Yesterday's release of 2.1.1 did not resolve the issue fully.
This PR follows the suggestions made on the issue by Chris, and also handles the Confluence case, updates tests and removes a duplicate call to /get.
Tested on all available platforms, more detailed testing notes are on the issue as a private comment
