Only works in Chrome
Review comment from Adam Barylak on 09 Oct 2013:
This plugin only works with Chome browser for me. IE gives me an error that says "The Webpage cannot be displayed" and Firefox doesn't show anything. Is there any way this can be changed to also support IE and Firefox?

Account Deactivated reporter -
I am currently using Basic Authentication from JIRA to Confluence with a service account that has full access to all Confluence pages. All links to pages in Confluence show correctly in JIRA with the correct page title listed in JIRA. I haven't had any other issues with the connection. Let me know if you need any more information. Thanks.

Account Deactivated reporter So having done all that, are you saying that the plugin only works in Chrome? If so, what exactly do you see in the other browsers?
-
Firefox doesn't display anything in the tab on the JIRA issue, and IE displays a "The Webpage cannot be displayed" error message.
It has been a very long time since i have tried this plugin, has there been a newer version since i posted my comment on the marketplace?

Account Deactivated reporter The latest release was version 0.3.3 on 14 July 2014. The full version history can be seen here. Could you perhaps install the latest version and tell me whether the problem still happens?

I can try it out the next chance i get. It may not be until next week sometime.

Sorry for the late reply on this, i just re-installed the plugin into my dev instance and it shows a blank section in Firefox right below the links for (View in Confluence) and (Edit in Confluence). I still get the "The webpage cannot be displayed" error in IE. Chrome still works fine and displays the data.
I also just confirmed that i did install the 0.3.3 version into my JIRA instance.
Let me know if there is anything else i can provide you to help. Thanks.

Account Deactivated reporter Hi Adam,
Thanks for the further info. I should be able to investigate this in my 20% time next week.
-
Account Deactivated reporter I tested this in Safari and it works fine for a Confluence page containing plain text.
UPDATE: Confirmed that the above text does not show in Firefox. Yet to test IE.

+1 Same issue with IE which is our mainly used navigator.

Account Deactivated reporter OK, I've replicated the problems reported above:
- IE 11.0.9600.16521 on Windows 2008 R2 Datacenter: where the Confluence page content should be is this error message:
- Firefox 24.0 and 35.0.1 on Windows, Firefox 32.0.2 on OSX: where the Confluence page content should be is blank

Account Deactivated reporter Hmm, it turns out that IE does not support data URIs for the content of
iframe
s (which is how my plugin displays Confluence pages). I'll have to rethink my approach. -
Account Deactivated reporter - changed status to resolved
Fixed in the 0.3.4 release.

Adam, can you please check that you have outgoing authentication properly configured on your application link from JIRA to Confluence?
