Configurable REST client to support working over an authenticated AppLink

A lot of the classes in this testkit represent JIRA concepts over REST. Except for the backdoor, could this code be adapted to work over another REST client? More specifically, I had the {{ApplicationLinkRequestFactory}} in mind.
