This sounds like the issue mentioned in the VS Code bug - https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues/102805

Updating VS Code to version 1.47.2 should fix it according to the above link.

Thanks for the response Pramod but unfortunately the VS Code update did not fix this issue.

As previously stated. Updating VS Code did not fix the issue, currently on the latest version.
