Can't close Jira ticket from VSCode because resolution type needs to be selected

Tickets for my company cannot be closed from VSCode because a resolution type must be selected. This results in an error in the VSCode extension when trying to close a ticket out, so I have to go to the ticket in a browser and close and select the resolution manually.

I was just coming to report this as well. though we don’t have a hard validation check on it.. It just leaves a bunch of tickets that are resolved/closed that show up in the default “Open” queries as that only checks the resolution field.

Note that VSCode for me is Version 1.52.1, and the “Jira and Bitbucket (Official)” extension is v2.8.5.

Same here. We can actually close tickets without the resolution type, but they remain unresolved which is confusing. I was going to suggest just an option to display more fields in the UI, but it sounds like this one is widely enough used that it should be there by default.
