vscode version 1.76.* breaks git operations
Unable to create a pull request through the bitbucket pull requests section of the Atlassian extension, or set up a new branch from a Jira issue in the Jira Issues section. Setting up a git branch will display "no branches found" under the source branch. And when creating a pull request from any branch with changes, no fields will auto-fill (source branch, destination branch, title, and summary). Clicking on the drop-down for the source or destination branch will only display "loading", however, no amount of waiting for ends with them loading. This happens regardless of branch or repository.
This issue completely prevents being able to create git branches directly from a Jira issue and prevents the creation of Pull Requests via this extension
Workaround: Bitbucket extensions are still working until VS code version 1.75.1
