error cloning repository (check log for details)

in windows 10 (version 2004)- tried to clone repository from Bitbucket to VS code (ver. 1.55.2) but received the stated error without any details. log in has been done in both Jira and bitbucket

i found the solution, you might want to check if you have git installed in your computer first and make sure to have the global user and username setup, it works in the end after i installed the git! hope it helps :)

Honestly this is very quick which I got get help with notepad in windows 10 and it give many of new options.
