Bitbucket extension - view pull request details displays a black screen if there is comment added

When I open the details of a Pull Request from Atlassian Extension, the screen will open, I see progress indicators spinning, then when it is nearly done, the screen is blacked out. Then, I see the error mentioned below. Then, I see a timeout error popping out from the notification area on the bottom right.

Error: fetching pull request details failed.

UPDATE: the error will occur when there is a comment added to the pull request.
