Unable to create Jira ticket from within VS Code

When I try to create a Jira ticket from within VS Code, it hangs on submission. I don’t know when the issue started happening as today was the first time I tried to create new Jira ticket from within VS Code.

I am able to edit and view existing Jira tickets without problems, it’s just an attempt to create a new ticket that hangs.

There appears to be some sort of problems with two fields for each issue type. Please, see attached snapshot of problem report I was able to generate out of VS Code. It refers to issue type Bug, but there are identical messages on non-renderable fields for each issue type.
