Unable to see Source Control info from within VS Code

I have version v2.10.12 of Jira and Bitbucket extension installed.

In a workspace with only one repos, it works fine - the “Source Control “ sections shows up like this:

But in a workspace with multible repos enabled, nothing shows up:

Yesterday all worked fine

Seems like creating a copy of the original folder, and working on this solves the problem! But why?
