Selecting a tag when creating an issue adds double quotes to tag

When submitting a ticket and specifying a tag, the created ticket has the tag with double quotes around that tag content. On the attached screenshots it’s clear that I am selecting the [user] tag, but once selected ["user"] is saved. The screenshot “on-Jira.png” I have added the [user] tag to demonstrate that there are indeed two tags at play. The extension does NOT add both tags, only the tag with double quotes.
