When starting to work on a new issue from within the Atlassian VSCode plugin, the Set up git branch does not take the repository’s branching modal into account.

How can i use v1.3.0? I can only see 1.1.0 as the most recent version

That’s strange, the latest version is 1.3.1. Try selecting “Check for Extension Updates” from the “More Actions…” menu (the three dots just to the left of the Python icon in your screen shot) and see if that detects the newer versions.
