unable to connect to internal instances of Jira and BitBucket

I downloaded this thinking it would be great to use in my internal environment not ever having to leave Visual Studio code. but come to find out it doesn't work like that it only allows you to work with Atlassian Cloud products? Is there any way to get this to work internally without using your cloud set up?
