aliases not matched after newlines

We noticed that if you insert a line break that your Alias group isn't always being called. For example, if I write a message like this:

1. "Hello @QA!"- works!
2. "Hello (shift+enter for new line)@QA" - does not work!
3. "Hello (shift+enter for new line)there people of @QA" - works intermittently.
