The CONTRIBUTING.md document is not getting parsed correctly into checklist items. Some are getting grouped together.

I am attaching the MD document that we currently have. Right now the third h1 is not being rendered as a top level container. Additionally some of the h2 titles are being chunked in with other h2 tags.

This is what actually renders:

We basically can't use this plugin if it has issues parsing a valid markdown document with no lint errors.
