utility for recording GPS coordinate with netspeed metrics

One goal of our Whyalla trip is to determine good locations for our rig from the perspective of netspeed, particularly upload, such that we can perform video streaming with reasonable quality. It’s proposed that a simple utility be written to record GPS coordinates and netspeed metrics. This will allow us to cruise down the coastline and get a map of location:netspeed for determination of the best spots. This could be done with a NMEA serial GPS device; something we have used previously and already have go based functionality to support. We also have vidgrind methods that we can use to estimate download and upload speeds quickly.
