monitor page: could not transform signal error stopping page load

In some circumstances the monitor page won’t load properly, it’ll just be an empty page with the menu and site name at the top.

When looking at the cloud logs, there is a message:

2023/06/13 04:23:35 could not transform signal: could not transform value: could not create evaluable expression from args string: Unexpected end of expression

This error should be displayed to the user. But this issue is about the error itself, I’ll create another issue about the message not being displayed.

To recreate the error at the moment, just visit the stony point site’s monitor page on vidgrind. I’m not sure which signal value it is trying to transform.
