Play: Popping noise at start of audio
Issue #364
resolved
Using this example: https://vidgrind.ausocean.org/play?id=15413620512004&ts=1701317160,60&out=pcm You can hear an audible popping noise at the start of the audio (large spike in waveform). However, downloading the same file as pcm and opening it in PCM does not result in the same sound, implying there is a software issue with the conversion from MTS to pcm when sending info to the play page.

This might be explained by this revid issue: https://bitbucket.org/ausocean/av/issues/434/revid-sending-mts-with-pats-more-than-1mb
We rely on finding a PAT at the start of each MtsMedia clip for essential metadata, for example, the sample rate. If our player starts playing PCM data without the correct metadata, it is likely to result in garbage audio.
