Numbering reverts back to 1 when there's a heading change

Issue #10 resolved

This is more of a question or comment than a proposal.

I've got a page where I want to use numbering but I want to do sections within the page that also use an h3. Here's my current set up...

  • Start numbering at h3
  • Start Numbering with 2
  • h3: CHAPTER [h3.decimal]
  • h5: BUS [h3.decimal].[h5.decimal]

This works fine until I put in a header with a level of an h4. The numbering then goes from 2.6 back to 2.1.

Is there an easy way to get around this? I haven't found a good way yet.

If I understand correctly, you want to skip the h4 numbering to take place? You are currently getting:

    CHAPTER 2 Heading 3
    BUS 2.1 Heading 5a
    BUS 2.2 Heading 5b
    Heading 4
    BUS 2.1 Heading 5c

    But want:

    CHAPTER 2 Heading 3
    BUS 2.1 Heading 5a
    BUS 2.2 Heading 5b
    Heading 4
    BUS 2.3 Heading 5c

Correct. I'm not sure that this is possible but if it is I'd love to know how to make it work.

There is no way to get this working with the current version of Numbered Headings. But it is an interesting feature, which I should not take too long to implement.

I will think about it some more and let you know if and when I will add this feature.

    Thanks for your question!
