Updating to 2.6.1 prevents us from being able to create from templates

Issue #81 resolved
Eban Tomlinson created an issue

We have a template defined in a particular space which uses a combination of Page Includes, Numbered Headings, and the page break user macro as defined here https://confluence.atlassian.com/x/pJndKw

The only addition we have made to that user macro is to add a ## @noparams to the beginning of the user macro.

What I've discovered is that when we create a page from this template we can click 'Next' at the bottom of the template after entering our variables, but the Next button does nothing as long as there is a page break user macro embedded within the Numbered Headings macro.

We only noticed this after upgrading to 2.6.1, but the problem may have existed prior to that.

Hi Eban, thanks for reporting this issue! Could you tell me which version of Confluence you are using? This will help me to reproduce this issue (will do this tomorrow).

Thanks for the quick response! I tried to reproduce it quickly, but no luck yet. Is it possible for you to send the contents of the template (screenshot of the template when in the editor will do too)?

Also could you check if you get any errors in the Confluence log or JavaScript errors in your browser (let me know if you don't know how to check this).

I was able to reproduce it with the given screenshot. Also I don't get any JavaScript errors (same like you). So.. no idea yet how this happens.

That looks like an error from the notification box, so I think that's something unrelated.

When I change the Numbered Headings macro in the template to the standard 'info' macro, I get the same issue. Can you confirm this? If so, it looks like the is more of an issue with Confluence and not directly related to the NH macro.

Yes, I can confirm the same behaviour.

Apologies for wasting your time. I only opened this ticket at the request of Atlassian Support.

I'll go back to them now.

    I really appreciate your time!

No problem at all! Let me know if you need any other help or have any other questions! If Atlassian has any questions for us, let me know (or add me to your support ticket).
