Request for adding Group by option to Project Pivot Report

It would be nice to have an option to group by on the Project Pivot Report. (Actually we would like to view as a JIRA report a project pivot showing the users as a column as currently, and the option to have SUM values grouped by issue types.)

I was not able to find a similar request scanning through the issue list.

    Good timing, I've just started working on similar request #326

    More important, how do you really imagine this?

    1. grouped by users and field, i.e. do not show issues. This is similar to the Show Details off view.
    2. grouped by field instead of users. This what I rather was thinking of.
    3. Both possibilities.

    Note, I think of this as additional view by using configuration option, instead of showing it on one view, like in Time Sheet Report.

    Sorry I was not able to reply quicker. I meant version 1. Yes, it is similar to Details off view, and could be similar to Time Sheet Report showing a grouped by sum section and the details below and in this case, it would be easier to integrate into the Project Pivot Report.

    Your 2nd version could be a separate one. What do you think?

    Well, I've just realized that 2nd view is a nonsense :) an issue can NOT be a Bug, Improvement and New Feature simultaneously. At least it's clear now what are the expectations.

    And yes, combining views as in Time Sheet Report should be possible. So I hope to implement this in a month or so.

    Actually only the sample was nonsense I think, but I don't know if there is a valid requirement for the 2nd view, I mean as a twi dimensional report, like group by column a and b (issue types in the rows and components in the columns), but this is another story I think.

    I don't think there can be anything else valid in columns beside User or Date, because of the nature of the domain, Issues (rows) have fields (can be aggregated rows) , worklogs have just author (Pivot report), date (Sheet report) and hours (cells in both).
