Jan can't push a file to the Wiki for a commit ...

Issue #63 closed

I am using

https://azimuth-backup@bitbucket.org/azimuth-backup/azimuth-inventory.git/wiki

as the address of the repository. I can successfully clone and pull from it.

However, when I try to push a staged file, committing it, the push fails saying I have a wrong username or passcode.

I have tried various combinations, with Joos-gcv as the user, jan@westwood-statistical-studios.org as the email, Joos-gcv@bitbucket.org as the email. I do have keys loaded.

Use the SSH address when you clone, on the same machine where you have your SSH identity (key) configured.

    git clone git@bitbucket.org:azimuth-backup/azimuth-inventory.git/wiki

Or, you can simply edit the remote in your working copy under the hidden directory in file: .git/config

I deleted the repository and re-cloned it using git@bitbucket.org:azimuth-backup/azimuth-inventory.git/wiki. Before I was using https://azimuth-backup@bitbucket.org/azimuth-backup/azimuth-inventory.git/wiki. I did upload my public key. A push now works.

    I don't know exactly what I fixed.

If you want to write to a Git remote from a node, you either need an SSH key on that node, or you need to enable agent forwarding and load your key to an SSH agent on your client node that you use to connect to the node from which you write to the remote.
