Unsupported major.minor version 51.0
Hello,
I get this error when trying to run some sample code:
java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: org/jose4j/lang/JoseException : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0
Any idea what the problem might be? I am running Java 1.6. Does the library support that version of Java?

repo owner Yeah, it requires 1.7 or 1.8.
There have been a couple forks of slightly older versions that I believe have back-ported to 1.6 - https://bitbucket.org/yosef_kitrossky/jose4j-jdk1.6/commits/all is the most recent but there's also https://bitbucket.org/ijazfx/jose4j/commits/all and you could probably do a back-port of the latest too without too much trouble.

reporter Thanks for the info, Brian. I’m going to try to get us upgraded to 1.7. It’s past time, anyway. Great looking library, BTW!! Thanks.
