Waero

Waero is a simple script installation system, meant to replace more bulky build systems for small programs involving only a single script file.

To install:

./configure
sudo make install

To create a configure script for a new project scriptacious:

cd /path/to/scriptacious
waero scriptacious

Options

  • --prefix=PREFIX: Set the default installation root for the new configure script. Defaults to /usr/local.

  • --cmdname=CMDNAME: Set the default installed filename for the program. Useful if you want to name your original script file one thing and the installed script something else (example: scriptacious.pl in the project directory, but just scriptacious when installed). Defaults to the script's actual file name.
