MlRawViewer not decoding to DNG and MOV

Issue #126 new
Former user created an issue

Was installed 1.3.3 - everything worked! 1.4.4 downloaded and ... MlRawViewer stopped encode DNG, clicking on the "plus sign" nothing happens, "E" is also not responding. In the MOV begins to encode stops at 0.33%. Rolling back to a previous version does not help. Deleted, reinstalled, the problem persists. Please help me!

In the problem of partially understood. Need to specify which folder to decode files (W) Previously decoded by default in the folder with the source code. A couple of minutes ago started encoded files without specifying the output folder with the source code. Strange. You can remove the status of critical

I was able to export mlv to mov (One file at a time). When i started exporting another folder with mlv's the export button stopped working. It clicks, but nothing happens. E won't do anything either.

Following up... I had installed davinci resolve and thought that might have been it. So I uninstalled it. Nope. I used my upstairs computer and it worked fine until my computer went on standby after converting a few files to mov. When I came back and woke up my computer, the extract to mov function was non responsive. Now I need to install/use mlrawviewer on a third computer to extract my files. oh boy. What should I do?

    2 things to try.

    1. try deleting the generated .MRV sidecar files next to each source .MLV file

if that doesn't help converting those files then..

    1. delete or rename the hidden ".mlrawviewer" folder in your home directory

Hi, same problem. The second trick worked at first, but now, even if I delete the hidden folder and the generated files, no exportation comes (or at least to .Mov, it seems to work sometimes in .dng). I tried different versions of MLRAWviewer. It's not cool 'cause it used to work really good for like a month !

FYI: MlRawViewer is not currently being actively maintained, and there are no plans for new binary releases. This is mainly due to lack of source code contributors.

    Andrew,

"delete or rename the hidden ".mlrawviewer" folder in your home directory"

Solved this vexing problem, it is great to have this working as it should.

    Thank you!

Version 1.4.3... Win 7 64bit... Having similar issues with decoding to DNG. Upon clicking E key, the status shows 0% for a few moments and then disappears, with no DNGs being exported (using .RAW). Mov export does work. Rolled back to 1.4.1 and everything works. Neither 1.4.3 or 1.4.2 work for DNG export (for me at least). 1.4.1 is mostly fine except the histogram not being accurate which was fixed in a later version. I realize this is not actively maintained... just thought I would post this in case anyone has suggestions. Deleting the hidden ".mlrawviewer" folder did not fix this for me. This is still my favorite viewer/converter by far.

Where is it this ".mlrawviewer" folder. Can you show me how to get there? I have tried every way but not found it. MLrawviewer was working fine and the suddendly stop to export.
