MlRawViewer can't start with Windows 8.1

Hi,

I often used MLRawViewer on my previous computer under W7. I now have a Windows 8.1 computer and I cannot start MlRawViewer any more. I tried 1.2.3, 1.3.3 and 1.4.3 windows binaries and they all give me the same error on startup:

"The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail"

I read on Internet it could be due to VC Redist, so I installed the latest version but it didn't changed. I tried with differents Compatibility modes, ran it as administrator... nothing worked. I couldn't find any logs.

FYI: MlRawViewer is not currently being actively maintained, and there are no plans for new binary releases. This is mainly due to lack of source code contributors.

Had the exact same problem. It seems to be caused by an issue with Microsoft C++ Redistributable. Or lack of it to be exact. I installed a couple of adobe products after a format and with them came C++ 2005,2008, 2010, 2012 redistributables (x86 and x64). MLRawViewer started up without a hitch.
