Can't select a Golem catalyst

When I try to select a Golem catalyst it just throws me out of the menu without showing me any other prompt or anything. I have enough drams of pure liquid and I tried restarting, removing liquids like brain brine and warm static from my inventory but nothing works. I’m also running on Windows 7 if maybe that has something to do with it.
