<winged> new player experience / user interface: the "[V]" is not explained when you're selecting mutations. I had to check in the discord to learn that it means there are variants available. It's also extremely hard to access those variants on the steam deck. You can't use the dpad up or down to get the variant selection at the bottom, and you can't use either analog stick. You have to go left (to exit the mutation column into unseen space), then press down to reach "points remaining", then press right to get to "choose variant" which isn't templated to pop out from the surrounding text
