Message (jump):

<bad_emperor> I bodyswapped with Warden Uno by dominating him, equipping on him a ganglionic teleprojector and then using him to dominate a waydroid. Once my consciousness transferred to Uno permanently, his rep seems to be the rep of his original faction (fellowship of wardens). From that point onwards, faction reputation changes don't affect hostility towards the player. For example, gaining rep during water rituals with a hostile creature does not stop them from being hostile, even when the rep gets about +1000.

PS I'm fine with both having my rep as that of Fellowship of Wardens as well as my original faction's, but I just want to be able to change it.

We have experimented some more with it and concluded that the problem is related specifically to the kind of bodyswapping that’s accomplished by double domination: player A dominates creature B, creature B dominates (with either domination or ganglionic) creature C, then control returns to creature A, then control returns permanently to creature B. In this case the player ends up controlling creature B permanently, but all other creatures react to it as if it was still the original faction of creature B, rather than the player. All events affecting player’s reputation affect their original faction reputation rather than the reputation of the creature B that they’re controlling, effectively freezing their reputation gain. Note that this does not happen if the player bodyswaps by killing their original body in 1 blow.
