If I remove the skates, I continue to power skate and receive the MS bonus without leaving fire trails. I can then put on any other boots and keep skating. This includes bounding boots which will give me bounding against my unmodified quickness, but it is added to the power skating MS for roughly 300 MS without having to ever sprint (I retain power skating status). Suuuch a fun bug. None of this happens if I try the same with my regular character.
