    Not sure what demon I accidentally invoked but I seem to be seeing this on every single zone freeze, which seems unusual since nobody else has reported this issue yet. Currently testing on Linux (Debian Bookworm) if it matters.

    Documenting other fun twists as I see them:

    I only seem to encounter this issue with the Itch version (the one I usually play). When I play the game from Steam, I never encounter these long zone freezes.

    (Both versions are on 2.0.207.39 right now.)
