<everyzig314> I finally found reproducible conditions for an annoying bug with a race condition that causes the Exc menu to show up over other menus occasionally. (It has happend occasionally in various situations, but this time I found out a way to make it happen deliberately.)
Steps to reproduce
1. Create a new character
2. Save and exit, then reload (it doesn't work if you try this directly from character creation)
3. Very quickly look at an npc, then hit Esc to close the look menu
