[ui beta] strange delayed reaction to modifying an equipped item treated as scrap

eva problems created an issue

my character is treating vibro daggers as scrap. i equipped one i had just tinkered up, then set to modifying it with several mods. my character unequips the dagger to mod it, applies the mod (at which point it should no longer be a class of item treated as scrap), re-equips it, and repeats this process for the next two mods. this is all happening invisibly while i’m on the tinkering screen. as soon as i’ve applied the last mod and the tinkering window closes, my character is like “oh right. vibro daggers = scrap” and automatically disassembles the now-fully-modded vibro dagger. if i hadn’t equipped it first, i wouldn’t have run into this behavior - two other daggers went fine earlier because i modded them before equipping them.
