Seconded. This would also fix a major issue with Seeker esper hunters and (most) evil twins awarding a measly 25 XP, which encourages just running away from them.
This could be easily implemented by adding the difference between the awarded XP of the previous and current level when a creature levels up (usually 0).
For example, a chute crab gives 0 XP.
Level 10/Tier 2 XP (130) - Level 9/Tier 1 XP (70) = 50
, so if it levels up from level 9 to level 10, its XP value would increase by 50.(I say “most” because dominating a creature with a higher base level or an extradimensional hunter, then getting the defect or smashing hexagonal crystals, awards more XP, and makes them a lot more fun to fight.)
