<honda, axe master> uhhh if you mod an item in your inventory to be slender, it doesn't actually change the item's weight on your character until you drop and pick it up again
just had a nanopneumatic jackhammer modded to slender but it still acted like it weighed 15 lbs so I was overencumbered by 4 lbs
until I dropped it and picked it up again which gave it the intended encumberance
