Sting ability from regenerated stinger (confusing venom) doesn't work

The stinger body part was dismembered by an enemy, then it was regenerated using a regeneration tank.
After that, when I try to use the ability “Sting” it just shows a message “You don’t have a stinger”.

However it seems to work correctly in all other cases (e.g. auto attacks, flurry, charge…)
