cannot bind > or < keys

I thought it’d be nice to bind > and < for down and up movement (as is traditional), but the key binding interface simply ignores attempts to set them.

I failed to parse the exiting shift-, and shift-. bindings as equivalent. Sadly, I cannot delete this bug. Apologies.
