I may have tried to express this in gentler terms earlier but like it really doesn't sit right to me that ||you can understand the fucking Gorilla mayor just fine and the talking plant and the goatman but not the humans, who are probably the only humans explicitly stated to have brown skin?||

it does carry overtones of colonialism and how|| europeans were treated in some cases because of how extravagant their wardrobe was to some indiginous people, giving them not the appearance of someone they already worshipped (e.g. oboroqoru) but just a 'divine'-like entity (if not just having a frightening presence?). unfortunate parallels in its presentation. also the point about the pygmies is also valid||
