Stacked tile phenomenon applies to dangerous enemies and seems... excessive

I had a violent encounter with a stack of lurking beth. One move instantly gutted my character well below the 40% warning AND stacked bleed 5 times. This would have been lethal had I not decided to visit this place a little later in the run where I had a big health pool and toughness to tank it.
