Shared Bit Locker with Followers

One of the benefits of Domination is using it on followers with a high intelligence and the Tinker III ability. However, I am not aware of any way to share bits between characters. It would be nice to have a way to either just have a shared bit locker, or some way of transferring bits between characters. Currently, whichever character you plan to use for building and modding needs to be the character to do all of the disassembling and rifling. Right now this is one of my followers. But if this follower dies I won’t have any way to recover the bits that I collected with the follower.

I did notice that my main character has access to any plans that my follower learned (not sure if this is as designed or not).
