Confirmed by another Mac user, Sepherescent.

Believe the Delete key on Mactops actually functions like backspace, need to press Fn + Delete for forward delete.

<HFlower> Otoh, critical portions of the UX shouldn't rely on knowledge of OS X mapping -- there are missing bindings in the keymapping UI.
