Message log doesn't move in ASCII mode

took me a while to isolate the issue:

In ASCII mode, the automatic moving of the message log isn't working, the log has to be dragged manually.

the message log isn't 'pinned', and this behavior can be replicated very easily:

1) leave all settings default 2) turn off tiles 3) move character to the edge of the map where the message 4) observe that the log ui doesn't automatically move 5) turn tiles back on 6) observe the moving works perfectly

I might be the last woman on earth playing in ASCII mode, but I love it and hope it can get back to working soon.
