I was able to do this a few minutes ago, but then after my body was recreated, I noticed I was missing some items from the nearby chest, such as my fullerite aegis. So I closed the game and re-opened, continuing at the point where I had just entered the room where the sarcophagus resides. Now talking to Herododicus is just a loop. He scans my life but does not go to chisel my stories onto the wall, and the sarcophagus will not open.||

Herododicus properly started engraving after leaving the zone and coming back. The items were missing because they were equipped to item granted limbs and they fell to the ground on the recompositor and were not visible (probably should make them like trees and large enough items fall to an adjacent cell if they land on top of it)
